An excellent feel with the 'Silent Red' MX silent soft linear feel key switch
The Cherry MX 'Silent Red' key switch also known as 'Pink', gives a soft linear feel without the audible click of the 'blue' switch and it's lighter than the 'black' switch, it has a long key stroke of 4mm with the actuation point (key press) at 2mm. The Silent Red switch has internal tappets that minimise the bottom-out and top-out noise, 30% quieter than traditional mechanical switches. For me the most important features in a keyboard are: tenkeyless, very good tactile response, easy to clean (easy to remove the keycaps), and minimalist design. The Majestouch 2 keyboards simply excel in all of these respects which is why I own two of them. One has MX browns which I've used intensively for four years, and the other has MX red silents.

If I had my own private workspace, I'd use the browns due to the better tactile response. Since I work in a shared space I purchased a keyboard with the MX silent reds, which has a great balance between being very quiet and having good tactile response.

I see no reason to own another type of keyboard since the Majestouch 2 is simply excellent in every respect that I care about.

Extremely quiet keyboard that I expect to last forever. I had been hesitating for a long time to get it compared to maybe cheaper alternatives, but I really think this keyboard will outlast me. I use it with basic wrist rests and it really made typing my typing more stable and overall a comfortable experience.

As someone else said, the silent Cherry MX Silent Red switches are really quiet. If you don't type particularly heavily, you can type very quickly on this keyboard with almost no noise. I went from a regular (blue-type) mechanical keyboard to this one and it was a significant upgrade in every way. In an open-plan style office that everyone seems to have these days, you won't annoy colleagues who are sat right next to you or in the vicinity.

The fact that the letters are printed on the front of the key rather than the top makes a lot of sense for touch typing. When other people maybe pair with you and use your keyboard for a while mostly it's a short adjustment and they're fine.

Highly recommend this keyboard if you want something absolutely robust, very quiet and incredibly productive. The only negative sides possibly, though I'm not super fussed, is the lack of multimedia-type keyboard to adjust your volume and the like and, if you're like me, it would nicer if the rubber feet were glued on better. I put this keyboard in and out of my backpack each day and so the rubber feet tended to fall off; if you never move your keyboard this won't be an issue for you but I think may just have to superglue the things in place now. A minor inconvenience to an otherwise flawless board.

Great first mechanical keyboard for me. Love the tenkeyless design because my desk ergonomics can be much better (mouse and keyboard in the right place). Feels amazing quality compared to cheap generic kb's but I think it's probably 'entry level' if you talk to an enthusiast.

The switches are really quiet and feel nice to type on. They do have some quiet scrapingringing of the springs, espiecally if you push them slowly. This doesn't bother me at all but some people would probably want to lube them.

The keyboard came with both styles of windows key, so you can choose.

Just incredible to type on, satisfying, quiet and great build quality. I imagine this will last forever granted I don't drop it off a ten story building.

What an absolutely fantastic keyboard. I had a plan to buy it, but felt impatient and bought a gaming KB which was defective. It got replaced and was defective again, at which point I gave up on it. The service I got from that particular shop was atrocious to top the experience off. I should have ordered a Filco straight ahead instead. Well, I did and I completely adore it. The silent red switches are, in fact, more silent than the membrane Dell KBs we have at the office. I hadn't tried these switches before and I was curious how I'd like them. Well, they are just amazing. It's a subtle, silent thumping with such a soft feeling. I highly recommend this keyboard for any office. Your colleagues will respect you for choosing wisely.

I've become a lifelong fan of Filco and will likely purchase from here again as the service of Keyboardco is nothing short of stellar. I've also recommended the site to many of my friends, but not many of them are as interesting in mechs as I am. Regardless, many of my colleagues immediately appreciated how awesome this product is and I think they might join the club in the future.

A colleague of mine was complaining that my keyboard with brown cherry switches was to noise in the new open office environment, so I bought this keyboard with silent red switches, hoping it would be more quiet. And it is, the colleague noticed it immediately.
